Welcome To Rocky Mountain Veterinary Ultrasound! We Are Your Veterinarian in Steamboat Springs, CO

At Rocky Mountain Veterinary Ultrasound in Steamboat Springs, every pet is special. For this reason, we take extra measures to ensure your animals get the attention and care they deserve. Your Steamboat Springs veterinarian specializes in diagnostic imaging to detect organ and cardiology problems in your pets, enabling them to get prompt and effective treatment.

Who We Are

Rocky Mountain Veterinary Ultrasound is run by Dr. Kim Radway, a veterinary expert in the field of diagnostic ultrasound. Through diagnostic ultrasound, Dr. Radway and her team can help detect problems with your pets’ heart and internal organs, so they can get the necessary treatment. Diagnostic imaging is a non-invasive, rapid, accurate means of diagnosing serious health conditions that can shorten your animals’ lives. Early diagnosis of a health condition can help expedite their recovery.

Services We Provide

Our veterinarian is happy to offer the following services:

Abdominal Ultrasound: This imaging technique allows us to view your pets’ abdomen, including the liver, kidneys, gallbladder, spleen, bladder, and prostate in male canines. Abdominal ultrasound also enables us to diagnose medical conditions like tumors and congenital disease.

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound: This diagnostic imaging helps us to see your pets’ musculoskeletal system to diagnose shoulder, wrist, Achilles, and knee injuries and diseases. Our veterinarian partners with local orthopedic surgeons to customize treatment plans for these conditions.

Echocardiogram: Echocardiograms are cardiac ultrasounds that evaluate heart health, size, and function. With this technique, we can detect signs of heart defects and diseases, the severity of the disease, and the risk of your pets developing a heart condition.

Conditions Diagnosed by Ultrasound Imaging

Diagnostic imaging helps diagnose a range of conditions like the following:

  • Age-related and congenital heart disease
  • Thoracic tumors
  • Gastrointestinal disease
  • Liver disease
  • Abdominal tumors
  • Kidney stones and kidney disease
  • Adrenal gland disease
  • Pregnancy

The results of our ultrasound services can be used by our veterinarian to determine your pets’ treatment. We work closely with veterinarians in our local community to ensure your pets get quality, continuous care that will improve their condition.
